Dome light circuit question

I called the shop who sold me the alarm and they said (after conferring with an installer) that the black needs to be connected to both the alarm wires with no diodes necessary, so this is what I've come up with. I believe the above plan would work, but I like this one better because the control wires are on the control side of the relay and only the load is on the switched side.
