Dome light circuit question
I picked up an inexpensive alarm system at a local stereo shop. Its my first attempt at an alarm install. Overall I'm very happy with it.
This is my current dome light circuit

The interior lights only come on when the alarm is deactivated
This is what I'd like to do. I would like the door pin switches to tell the alarm that the door is open and the interior lights will come on whenever the door is opened.

Any comments/suggestions? Do I need to use diodes?

I called the shop who sold me the alarm and they said (after conferring with an installer) that the black needs to be connected to both the alarm wires with no diodes necessary, so this is what I've come up with. I believe the above plan would work, but I like this one better because the control wires are on the control side of the relay and only the load is on the switched side.
