does it have the option on the rearview for delayed lamps? if so turn that off, i am unsure if yotas do it by on my exploder there is a switch on the self dimming rearview that says lamp delay or something along htose lines. if you turn it on the lights will stay lit for a short period of time after you exit the vehicle so you can see where you are going. try looking into that
good luck hope that helps you jason |

...was this ever solved!?
Hey,
I've got this same issue. Has anyone solved this? What is causing that. I know its not the alarm (at least that its not an error on the part of the alarm) so what can it be? Please help! Phillip |

Headlights Stay On
I am having a similar problem on my 1996 SR5 4Runner. My driver side door sensor has been broken for some 100k miles so i've had a jump or two in my day. Today being one of those days, i jumped my car and got it started. when it was idling the headlights stayed on even when the switch was off, but it was just the headlights, not the tail lights.
When i drove the mile to my mechanic to have him take a quick look at the issue, guess what, the lights turned off. and we couldn't get the problem to repeat. So i returned home and a half hour later looked outside and saw the front lights had turned on again. i have the fuses pulled so the car will start tomorrow hopefully. I had just put a new battery in the truck last week. I also told a buddy that i was approaching 220k miles headed to 300k. jinx. any thoughts? |
