What's the difference between motor flush and seafoam?

I just wanted to know because my dad is thinking of using motor flush in the 4runner butter I've also heard good results with seafoam so I don't know which would be better or could I just use both?

Using synthetic oil regularly will clean the engine out, I guess you could seafoam it if you thought it was really bad. Seafoam will clean anything.

IMHO, seafoam is very simple, you can see if it does work(lotzza smoke) or doesn't(no smoke).

but mostly, it's lotzza fun when on a calm, quiet sunday morning, seafoam an ol' filthy motor, flooding your neightborhood with a thick cloud of smoooooke.

I like simple! Thats because i'm lazy. But what in the motor does it clean? My dad might do that before the next oil change.
