Vibration
I am asking in this forum as to generate as much traffic to this thread.
I am at my wits end, no one it seems can solve my vibration problems. I have a 1996 Toyota T100 3.4L V6 4x4. Its very similar to the pickups of the era in and out.
Here is what happens: At take off when on the gas the truck has what seems to be a drivetrain vibration. You can physically see both the column shifter vibrate a well as the trasfercase lever mounted on the tranny hump wiggle side to side. Also at speeds of about 25+ mpg there is a slight vibration felt in the floorboards.
Whats been done:
-Drivetrain totally redone by a driveshaft shop, they looked over the u-joints (which are fine), replaced the carrier bearing on my 2pc driveshaft and replaced a stub shaft. The drivetrain is 100% true according to them.
-Tranny mount replaced, rubber was very weak but not broke yet.
-Brakes all the way around, new pads, rotors, shoes and drums, wheel cylinders.
-Motor mounts checked, appear to be fine.
-Tires were balanced, they had a hard time balancing them tho. and added weights in a few different places.
So I am at my wits end. I cannot keep playing around, not only do I need my truck, I cant keep dumping cash into it.
Does anyone have any idea wtf this could be, I am practically getting ready to sell it to anyone and buy another toyota of some sort if I cant solve it.

I am having the same problem. 94 toyota pickup SR5 4x4. Small vibration is driving me crazy. Had u joints replaced, carrier bearing replaced, shaft balanced, rear pinion seal replaced and rear pinion torqued to spec. Vibration seemed to become even more slight but got a very low drone noise now above 40 mph. Truck is bone stock. I have lifted the rear end back up about 2 inches, basically to stock height. I replaced the leaf springs and added a 1 inch block to level the rear out with the front. 3 people have driven the truck and say they cant feel the vibration, but I think it's because they don't want to. Driveline shop said cv joint was tight and everything looked good. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
