Im running 30x9.50 AT BFG on aftermarket wheels.
Im not sure what size the wheel is. Nor do I know the backspacing..Btw, what is back spacing?

Do you think I would be able to run 31x10.50? The Fabtech lift states that I should have 30x9.5 tires. Why is this? Do I need to follow it? Or can i go bigger?

hmm should say 30x9.5x15 and by looking at your pics in you sig looks like 31x10.5s should fit with no problems

is the 15 the diameter of the wheel? Im not sure where to measure it but I started exactly where the wheel meets the tire, all the way to the other side. It was about 16.25".

What does this mean?
Also, what is the "backspace" of a wheel?

yes, to easily find out what rim size you have look at the tire where it says 30x9.5R15.

The rim is a 15" because thats where the bead of the tire sits. There needs to be a lip on the rim so the bead can't fall off:

The same goes for the width: an 8" rim measures about 10" wide, but only 8" between the "lips" of the rim that the bead seats against.

Backspacing is how far from the back of the rim the hub mounts, and so determines how far out your wheel stick. It's measured by placing the rim on the ground(with the inside facing up), lay a straight edge on the rim, and measure down to the mounting surface.

less backspacing = wider (but more rubbing)
more backspacing = narrower (but less rubbing, usually)
