the only thing that i ever tinted my self was my moonroof in my taco. i allways hated all of the light that come through it. it turned out good, but i was able to take it completely out and do it on the ground. it had a few air bubbles (small ones) in it after i got done, but they went away with it siiting in the sun for a couple of days. sorry i couldnt be more help.

I had mine professionally done at friend prices. My buddy takes the glass out of the vehicle to tint, well out of the doors anyway. On the door windows he also left just a hair maybe 1/16 of an inch out of the very top where the window slides into the channel. At first I was mad because I could see the line with my window rolled down. He explained to me that if he were to run the film to the very top it would get all messed up by constanting being moved in and out of the channel.

I think the tint applied was 20 on the sides and 30 on the rear? I can't remember for sure, it was whatever the legal limit was. It's been a year now and I'm really happy with the results. There are no bubbles, streaks, seperation, nothing wrong. Not to mention my vehicle stays cooler and people can't look inside so easy.

I just decided to let a pro do it because he had all the tools, way more experience, and used a film that is very high quality and not available to the general public.

most shops don't charge that much, you'll be happier with the outcome in the end.
