Yes it is, very nice knife.
I have a couple of spring assisted Gerber Coverts too, a nice flipper BG, and a machete BG.

Now for the ultimate BOV, I saw this on POR this morning in a huge expedition thread over there.

My rig is in that Pirate thread.
That Toyota you posted he just joined up over at Expo's site too.
I like those older Toyota, but I would swap in a 4.0 like I have in the FJ.

Is it just me, or were they scared of increasing the wheel base by just a tad?
Was that originally a 2wd? Noticed the five lug rear.

THAT IS SWEET!!! Would love one for deep Rocky Mountain hunting trips. When I start the rebuild on mine it is aimed more towards this type of thread, kind of a expedition vehicle. Might look in to getting shell for mine.
*Dropzone* Do you know of any other sites with these's RVs?

Red face

The sad fact is if your gear is not all in the vehicle at all times most often your not going to have it when you need it most.

then also the vehicle sitting at home in the garage if your in the earthquake or tornado belt is not a great help.

If I was serious it would have to be a diesel engine old enough to have a manual pump instead of computer just in case someone pops a device causing a EMP that fries all the electronics as not much is shielded since the end of the cold war.

Diesel for another reason I don`t like how the ethanol causes the gas to break down so fast. Then within 2 miles of my place there is likely several thousand gallons of fuel

enough said

i'm with you on the diesel. Though being up here in the winter, you'd have to keep it running 24/7.

my bug out vehicle? mine already got "bugged out" but i'm sure its ready for more

No they didn't make 5 lug front axle's in 4wheel drive. Just 2 wheel drive. I was just flpin some . Its probably a chev axle. Don't think its a dana 44 or anything, to narrow.
Hopfully someone confesses soon. In fact... is that a chevy luv?

I am really looking forward to 2012s camping season.

I built this rig up with the intention of being able to camp about anywhere with it and be self sufficient.
I really enjoy exploring the old growth forest roads in the Greenwater area in the shadow of Mount Rainier.
Lots of free places to pull down a forest road and camp for free.
Some by a lake, a stream, or a waterfall.
We should take a trip up there sometime brother! I haven't lived here very long but I've been up there a couple times. I really like it up there. Do you and anyone else from here do trail days up there at all?

Sorry I know off topic from the general thread just got excited to see someone who likes to go up there too.

It looks like one of the pre 79 trucks that was swapped to 4x4 by some American company after the trucks left the ports.
It's probably a dana 20 or similar. Doubt it's a 44.

And I hate to be rude but, other than Corey's Fj, none of the trucks posted in this thread already scream "bug out vehicle."

I think you're right on that one. Probably a Dana axle like what was used on the wolverine conversions.
