what kinda motor?? a used-good manifold isn't usually that much $, and welding a casting is not always that successful in the long run

Good luck. I have had an exhaust leak on every 22r I have had in the family. Got em welded and that lasts about a week. Make sure it is the manifold. I see a lot of these that someone has left the support for the exhaust that bolts to the bell housing off. That makes it easy to crack the pipe just below where it hooks up to the manifold. That is where I usually see the leak.

You can brase it up, using an oxy acet. torch, looks bad but it worked on my nissan when welding was working before. Your sure its not just the collector gasket?

My sons 2.7 had a bad enough crack in his manifold that it was a 2 piece. He wanted me to weld it up and I told him it probably wont last. I used the muffler repair glue at autozone and let it sit overnight, then stitch welded it with low heat and low wire speed. So far its been going for 3 months and hasn't broken again yet.
