Have to sand/etch them REALLY well or the paint won't stick.

I just did mine....
http://www.yotatech.com/f2/herculine.../#post50876971 I used a sander that hooks up to an air compressor. Took a while to scuff up the rear bumper. Front bumper ends weren't as bad. I'd say go for it...just need to sand the chrome until you can't see a good reflection in it any more. Hardest part is going back and hitting all those little spots you missed. If I had it to do over again I'd hit the majority of the rear bumper with a belt sander and touch it up with my air compressor sander. The one that hooks up to the compressor spins in a circular motion and the disk is only about 3 inches in diameter. Needless to say it took me a while!!! |
