To My Surprise!!

Heres a litttle story.

I live here in upstate NY and have owned 3 or 4 YOTAS. A few months back i had a 94 toyota pickup sr5 ext cab with the 3.0L. almost mint body, brand new clutch. As the weather started to get a little nicer around the end of april i needed work done with the tail lights (they didnt work) the garage calls me and says i need to get there and take a look at something,,,im thinking i mouse chomped my wires for my taillights........so i go up check it out....he says " i got ur taillights working however"... and points to the frame!!! FRAME BROKE!!! so now im like..i need something to get me back and forth to work..so i took my taxes and bought a camry(still kept it in the yota family) and have been driving it sence then. Now one night im driving down the street and off to my right i see this toyota at a subaru dealership..blue, lift, 32" tires, tint, the whole nine!!!...now i work for napa auto parts and dont make the kind of money it takes to get a truck like that. it was an 06 tacoma 4L 6spd acsess cab.
so Monday night i had planned on getting a beer after work...i head up to my fathers house. There in the driveway is my fiance and father......now im thinking " INTERVENTION" ...lol no! she comes over to me hands me a box...i open it and theres a set of keys......but no truck....huh??? then the garage door opens and there it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about the old truck. I know they had a recall on the frame of certain models. My brother got a super buyback thru toyota.

I was in NY, Stationed at Watertown and lived in Cheektowaga. No surprise your frame was shot.
Take care of this one and wash the frame weekly during the winter, I think Delta Sonic still has the two for one washes

Just for the record having a truck frame repaired of those within the buy back period did not void the warranty.

I know of 2 that I repaired that were bought back and both owners were tickled to get way more than they paid for the vehicle. But hated to give up the truck.
