I've discussed this before on the TLCA FB page but I don't think Toyota will ever bring the 70 Series to the US. I worked at Toyota US HQ for 4 years in the 90s, including 1 year in Strategic Planning, so I am not uninformed. Toyota US makes more profit from the made-in-US Tacomas and Tundras than they would from bringing in a made-by-Araco/Toyota Auto Body 70 Series from Japan. 70s in the US would also eat into their own sales of Tacomas or 4Runners, so I just don't see it happening.

Yes- that's a commonly used parking block on commercial parking spaces. In Japan, space is valuable so even a one-car space is rented out by fractions of an hour for parking. Of course that would not stop a lifted 4x4 but it stops all sedans.
