Help identify thingy on 3MZFE (2005 Highlander)
My Mom's Highlander started running really badly a few days ago. It hesitating, stalling, spewing gasoline fumes from the exhaust and the CEL came on. The codes (P0102 and P0102 pending) indicated a problem with the MAF sensor. When we popped the hood, we noticed that the thingy that is circled in the picture attached had a red wire coming out of it, which was severed. What is odd is that it appears to be a clean cut. Can anyone tell me what this device is?
