Duplicolor Bed Armor with Kevlar
Hey folks... Has anyone here used the new Duplicolor Bed Armor with Kevlar? I was thinking about lining the bed of my '84 with it and was hoping to find someone who had actually used it since it's a fairly new product. I saw some other sites with guys saying it was tougher then Herculiner, but I would rather trust some opinions here.
Thanks

a buddy of mine used it in the bed of his tundra and it looks good. i was planning on putting in the bed of my truck but could not find the stuff anywhere so i just bought herculiner. i cant really see a difference between the 2 just by looking at em. hoped that helped man

i have heard that the duplicolor has no smell. the herculiner has one of the worst smells and takes forever to fade away. other than that get the uv no fade protector.

From what I understand, the Duplicolor Bed Armor with Kevlar has the UV protestant already in it. I saw it on a Bed Armor commercial online yesterday.

The duplicolor definetly has a smell to it when applied. I would recommend wearing a resperator when applying it. It stuck up my whole garage for about a day when i did my cab floor.

I -just- did a duplicolor bed armor with kevlar application on my beat to heck 91 pickup bed. I applied it in my car port with one open wall, and it def had odor, but it wasn't overpowering. I think it looks pretty frikkin good... I paid 99 bucks at Autozone, the only place in washington that appeared to have any in stock. Duplicolor currently has a 25 dollar mail in rebate for bed armor on their website through sept 2010
I used about 3/4 of a gallon, I applied a thinner tack coat and then a mega thick rolled on coat. You need to go slow with the carpet roller they provide or stuff flies everywhere. I went along the ribs first lengthwise, and then across after. Masked up the sides of the truck and did the deck rails, and around the tail lights. I have enough leftover for some touch up or another thick coat. From the manual you can apply this directly to cured material and it bonds no problem.
