Driving music

Hey, do any of you guys listen to Trance music while driving your yota? I like to listen to it quite often, as it fits with the rhythm of driving and the reciprocating motions of the engine. I listen to a mixture of Trance, House, some Disco, Hip-hop, and Classic Rock. When I'm driving, it'll be any of them, but mostly Trance and Classic Rock.

I like late 70's/80's/90's and modern rock, some hiphop/rap, blues, etc...Not that picky tbh. Nothing like driving with Van Halen, Hagar, Metallica, NIN, Disturbed, Alice in Chains, I can go on, and on and on. I like the radio stations on the weekend/night much better, they play better music

Yes. Night time radio is definitely far superior. I like to listen to Alice Cooper on weeknights on KRFX Denver/Boulder/Golden 103.5 The Fox.

Yea, he does it in my area on 105.5, I also like listening to Dee Snider on 94.1 in my area (philly station). But my favorite is a local station, 95.9 the Rat. They do the best contests the disc jockeys are all hilarious and they all play good music.

Hmmmmm, bass
This sounds incredibly good on the cheap paper speakers that Toyota used in the FJ.

Alice Cooper, now that brings back memories.
Went to see him back around '72 or '73.

Precisely, I call it House music, not into alot of what I call Trance. Goa Trance being the exception, love that stuff. And the Classic Rock, the first 2 Boston albums are killer drivin' tunes.

last time i was with my dad when we were hunting my 80 i put in chris ledoux (he does not care for country much at all), after a while of bumping all over the arizona high country with him saying nothing. he notes," i think i figured out why you listen to country music in this truck." "why is that" i answered, "because it completes the feeling of riding a horse."
but most of the time i listen for new noises-----from my truck!

Your dad is a my type o' humorist.
Oh, by the way there's not so much as a transistor am radio in my truck. I'm KEENLY aware of EVERY little sound my rig makes while drivin'. Good habit. I have no AC either so windows rolled down would drowned out the music anyway. I have no intention of changin' that. I drive a 98 Monte Carlo on the highway(rarely, a few times a month, my truck don't like anything above 60mph, need gears for it with 35s, still call it my DD), killer sound system, and AC.

If I drove offroad most of the time, I'd probably not use the audio system either.
What type of House (i. e. artists) do you like?

Somehow I feel the urge to hit up iTunes tomorrow and dig up some old tunes from Alice Cooper, Emerson Lake & Palmer and more.

Drum and bass/jungle all the way. I hate house and trance, got enough of that when I used to go to raves every weekend. I'm a big early eighties hardcore punk kinda guy.

Go for it. Get some Pink Floyd and Deep Purple while you're at it, if you don't already have them.

What type of House (i. e. artists) do you like?

Sasha & John Digweed(SF area DJ's), Nigel Richards, Chemical Brothers(I like 'em, so?), some esp. select drum&bass like LTJ Bukem(He was pretty good live, but there's alot of D&B that's good and alot that's indistinguishable from a record/cd skipping for hours on end, I like Intelligent Drum&Bass), Breakbeats of all types old school like Simply Jeff, nu skool like Rennie Pilgrim, Crystal Method
I'll update the list as I reassemble the rest of the fried memories from my techno heyday.

Unless the other choice is Hank Williams Sr. or Patsy Cline, then you'd be wrong buddy.

I absolute love Sasha's track "Xpander" and Raff 'n' Freddy's track "Deep Progress".

If you enjoy House music (I sometimes call it that also) check Daft Punk. Some call it Synth pop, but it's really house. That's what it originated out of, and that's what it is. Especially get their albums Discovery and Musique, Vol. 1. The Discovery tracks "Too Long", "Something About Us", and "Veridis Quo" are great for driving. The song by Scott Grooves called "Mothership Reconnection" is one of the best houst tracks that I've ever heard, and I've listened to over 100 different hours of the stuff (i. e. different music each time).

You can also go to my website, http://cosmo.fallenmonday.net, once I get it back up in a few days and follow the link to wayfinder's fr-025 popular demo soundtrack. You could also download samples of my music (I produce/compose House, Trance, and Hip-hop). My first album should be out in June.

http://www.deephousepage.com if you want some really great mixes.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Oh yeah(almost forgot), we determined your of Japanese descent. So I geuss there's only so much a westerner can do to help you with that. Thanks for the links there, I've haven't been keepin' up on it as much as I should. I would love to hear what you've got goin' when it's done. Just thought of another favorite Frankie Bones, his stuff is intense. I do like what little Daft Punk I've heard. One more, Aphex Twin, though I don't know why, or what the hell you call that cacophony as far as musical style. Techno/Mechanical noise, how's that?

For a slow and relaxing drive, Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Chills, Vol. 2 is great. (I also own 13 of his other albums/mixes). He is in my humble opinion the greatest DJ ever to walk this earth. As far as driving in general goes, I listen to anything by Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Ozzy Osbourne, George Acosta, Barry White, Tom Moulton, Dan-I, wayfinder, Daft Punk, Larry Levan, Pink Floyd, Journey, The Who, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, and Petra (the only Christian I ever listen to, because most of it is crap. Don't hate me for that one, though). Maybe I can make some converts by saying that.

My Ipod quit working for about a year, so it was whatever was on the music stations, or talk radio. I mix it up a bit every now and then, but I mostly listen to talk or sports radio. The classic rock station in town is crap these days...nothing but AC/DC and some other crap from time to time, but I'm just tired of the same old stuff. I usually listen to country, bluegrass, Americana...that kind of thing, but there's not a lot I care for right now. And as far as modern rock goes.....no thanks. I also agree that most of the contemporary christian music is low quality. I think music in general has been in a decline since the early 90's
