Detroit ez locker question

I have a 1991 4runner with an open 8" rearend. I am trying to buy a Detroit ez locker from a guy who has a 1984 Truck with an 8" rearend. The detroit ez locker replaces the spider gears right? Will the 4cyl locker fit in my 6cyl?

No one ever came back with an answer on this but I was able to find out for anyone searching this subject. The locker is not interchangable beause the 4cyl diff is a 2 pinion carrier and the 6cyl is a 4 pinion carrier.
