Brand New 22R Engine. Sky-high compression.

I brought a 1994 22R Hilux 2 years ago with a new engine and reconditioned gearbox. I thought I'd give it a compression test (just for grins and giggles) and found that I got a reading of 210psi on all 4 cylinders. Should I be worried? The car runs great, im just curious as to why the compression is that high?

Modified? Had the head shaved or block decked without a thicker headgasket? No, I would not be worried regardless.

Carbon can cause high compression as well as other issues. The gauge could also be a few % off. 210psi would be roughly 10 to 1 compression. A stock 22RE would have roughly 9.4 to compression however if the motor has been bored or the head has been resurfaced this will make the compression higher.
