Battle..87 4runner vs 99 Land Rover

who wins?
1) 1999 Land rover with maybe 2 inch lift on 31-33" tires nothing too fancy..breaks all the time,(typical for that make)

Or

2) 1987 4runner standard suspension on 31"s, also nothing fancy about the rig, no mechanical problems.

i would like your imput!!

Sounds like your friends drive 2wd rangers with mud tires and exhaust systems, and think it's cool.

It all comes down to how well each driver knows his equipment. A particular car, or truck can never make up for driver experience.

You'll drive yourself nuts with electrical and mechanical problems. Also, if you have to ask, then you haven't enough research.

I've found this to be true more often than not.. Though, I've also found the exceptions where intelligence and experience are no match for a shorter wheel base, better weight displacement and determination.

With the two rigs you've described, the BIGGEST difference will be the driver's ability.

All you asked if "who'd win". In terms of current performance, they won't be very different. But if you're asking which I'd rather have, then hands down the 4runner. As others have mentioned, they are more reliable and much easier to build.
