Bad day for the 4runner (AKA dogs, door dings and dumb people)

Was going to post this in the "off topic-rants and raves" area but don't have the proper rights to post in there. So here it is (forgive me if it's a tad mean but I've GOT to get this off my chest and ya'll are available).

So this morning I zip into Starbucks at 0630 to get my lady a coffee before she goes to work. The only place available has a white mini van sitting over the line on the vans drivers side (I'll be parking to the left of the van). I can fit but it'll be close and figure "well they should learn to park". While I'm in line the lady that drove the van goes out to get into it, looks at how little room she has to get the door open and throws her hands in the air. Well I watch her open her door and you guessed it she slams it into my 4runner, now I know that my paint from 1989 isn't pretty although I do take care of it but I'd prefer to put any new scratches or dents on it myself thank you very much.

I go outside to look at my door (while she's still there) and when I take a look she actually rolls down the window and says to me "Oh you've got to be kidding" as she raises her little eyebrow as if to say "you really shouldn't care if I dinged your little POS". I won't tell you what I replied due to this being a family friendly site but it did startle her and widen her eyes a tad, her and I have obviously differing political views and I used that distinction in my rebuttal. <---- funny word of the day

Oh it gets better......

I take the runner to the car wash to blow off the dust and that little speck of white paint that she let me have for free and come home. Get some towels out of the apartment and go back outside to dry the rig, got that done and then back inside for the window stuff and tire cleaner. Outside one more time and I see a guy standing there WATCHING HIS DOG PEE ON MY RECENTLY DRIED WHEEL!!!! So I walk up, toss a towel to him and tell him to dry his dogs mess off my truck. SO HE TAKES A SWING AT ME???

Needless to say I believe he was either drunk or just very hung over because when he swung and missed I could smell beer on him, a lot of it. So when it's all said and done he's sitting on the curb bleeding, his dog is no where to be found, there is still pee on my wheel and I think I fractured my wrist trying to knock out all of his teeth. Anyway I had to come inside to call security and he took off.

*sigh* It's going to be one of those freaking days, I'm going to get a beer and just get started early.

Thank you for listening.

Watched a lady try to do this to mine one time. Flung the door open and my slider knocked a humongous dent on the end of her car door. She was waiting on me when I got to the truck. Said it was my fault. I laughed.

You need some sliders.

wow, that's quite the productive morning in regards to getting up close and personal with some real jackwagons.

watch that cut....bet that guy didn't have his rabies shots.

sliders sound like a nice little surprise for those who think they are gonna ding your door.
