Heya folks, new threader/ long-time peruser. Got an opportunity to pickup a 1997 T100 4wd ext cab w/ 220,000, 5 speed, slight skin cancer, needs a muffler and an e-brake cable for a sticker. Original female owner, highway miles. shes asking 3500 but told me she'd sell it to me for 3k. I'm wondering if this a good buy and what i could reasonably expect out of this truck. I just need a DD. Is the 97 T100 as reliable as my other yotas. Have an 02 4runner (wifes) and had a 92 pickup (223k, split in half) and 95 taco (196k, buy-back) Any info is greatly appreciated.

its a toyota, and i am pretty sure it is just as reliable as any other toyota.

Wow, 220k is alot. But, ona well mantained, highway driven truck, I would say the price is about right.

Yes, T100's are great trucks. They still have beefy boxed frames, and the engine/drivetrain is stout as hell.
