Did you say this can be had for a 3rd gen 4Runner also? If so, can you post pics, especially of how it mounts to the frame?

That bumper is even nicer in person than you can imagine.

But if you get the tire carrier, then give some thought to where you're going to put your license plate. The owner of that 4Runner got stopped by one of WA states finest who mentioned that he may want to find a way to get his plate to show up. oops.

I am interested! Do you think he can cut me a better deal if I buy a front bumper as well? Any pics of it without the tire carrier? I am having a hard time picturing it without the carrier. What does he use for paint?

A quick hack in Photoshop will get you resonably close:

Here's another shot from a run we were on last weekend:

Thanks! That helps. Very nice bumper. As far as you know, does it have good quality welds and craftmenship? I have heard numerous horror stories of weld on tow points coming off and tow hooks and shackles flying though window and stuff.

The welds on this bumper are INCREDIBLE. It is simply one of the nicest pieces of welding work I've ever seen.

I'll drop a line to the owner of that 2nd in the pics above (he's on YT) and let him know this thread is here so that he can comment as well.

Yes, he, Taran from BCC, has made them for a 3rd gen too. I dont have pics but this guy is one hell of a welder/designer. I've spent a lot of time
talking with him via phone and email. Hes willing to give a 10% discount if
i get another buyer or more. He builds front/rear bumpers for older to newer Toyota trucks and 4Runners. They will also add or change different things to customer specs.

All you guys that currently have a TJM or ARB front bumper, this BCC rear bumper would make a nice addition and you cant beat the price for what you'd be getting. Excellent quality! The sides are bulletproof and can protect in ways like a rock slider. The bottom edges are angled for improved departure and the bumper itself has more ground clearance than the stock.

They have been in bussiness for a long time and do plently of work. Take a quick look at their website and you'll get an idea.

I should be getting addtional pictures of the bumper on a 3rd gen very soon. The design is slightly different.

I forgot what kind paint he uses but i believe its auto primmer with POR-15 paint. I'll confirm that when i get more pictures.

Hey ,thanks for the comments guys The craftsmanship on this bumper is very nice , and Taran was very good to deal with .Seems to be holding up good , dragging it on rocks and bouncing of trees . Daryl

Glad you found a place to get a bumper, to be honest with you, I really don't want to build any more. I'm done.

Yeah, but Steve, yours are the shizzle, too. And as I've indicated in other posts, yours still have the greater clearance and are bomb-proof solid.

The BCC's are very nice, too. No dig on them, but if I'm going to ever get one on my 'Runner, I'd gladly get one from the local guy and avoid the shipping cost. There's one benefit of living in AZ, anyway...hard to find reasons this time of year.

I'll make you (Ed) one but that's it. The last bumper I ever build. I'm burned out and don't want to build bumpers anymore.

Time to move on and get back into the 9-5 swing.

man do i hear yea steve im taran, been working 12-16 a day 6-7 a week for the last couple years..man should have married a rich girl i sent some more pics to erik of the bumpers, the licence plate would have to be molded to the bumper, moved with a plate holder to the bottom left of the tailgate,or attached to the swing away? cause the tire needs to go where its at..i also have lots more pics of other jobs that arent on the site..
