SOOOOOOO...

I just put a new 22RE in my gen1 Runner. Well about 2000 miles ago I did. The thing is great and the milage has gotten better as has the power, but I've had this feeling that not everything was set up right.

Now, yesterday, I noticed that my tail pipe has a black soot ring around the tip, and I've been feeling a little stutter every so often. I'll be pullin the pluggs to see if I have one fowled or not tomorow, but what else should I look for???

I think it's running rich, but having heard all the horror stories about screwing with the AFM on these trucks, I'm a bit hesitant to crack into it.. Any suggestions???

Might want to test the O2 sensor, that is what the ECU uses to monitor/control the fuel mixture.

What about the TPS?

TPS is brand new, and I thought the O2 sensor was too with the new build, but I'll check that.

Maybe the fuel regulator vacuum tube. Leaky cold start injector.
