there are plenty of write ups dealing with this issue..i feel like the guy was an idiot. Search around and see how you feel about it. I know superbleeder and olharleyman both have very good write ups.

That guy lied his ass off to you so you would by one of there short/long blocks. I have never done one of these motors and I just got done doing my motor all by myself except for the machine work and I had my friend help me drop the motor on the transmission other then that NO HELP/ NO EXPERIENCE ALL MY INFO I FOUND RIGHT HERE ON THIS SITE NO MANUALS TO HELP ME OUT EITHER.

If you want help rebuilding one start here

http://www.yotatech.com/f116/so-22re...begins-185041/

http://www.yotatech.com/f116/bleeder...ctures-181237/

See what can be done just using the SEARCH button here and researching and if you got questions feel free to pm me I will help you with any thing I can, between the two of our builds you will find every thing you need to pull it off.

Here is another member doing one for the first time as well going on as we speak

http://www.yotatech.com/f116/92-toy-...-start-188472/

Not trying to make it sound like I have all the answers but I guarantee between these three links and you asking questions there's not an issue we can't get you threw and it a kick in the ass to document it and look back when your done saying to yourself I can't believe I was sp worried I could not do this myself and realizing that next time you have a problem you will know how to fix it.

counldnt be that hard. watched my buddy throw one together in an evening.not rebuild, but he was building one for his cousin. had a block with pistons etc in ita head with the valve train in itand the rest of the parts. water pump, oil pump, font cover, timing chain, valve cover, cam.from my experiance of doing my timing chain, water pump, and setting my valve lash, they are pretty easy to work on.just pay close attention to instructions and torque specs.when i did my timing chain every time i got a "step" done i sat back with a beer and looked at it, made a plan of what i was going to do next and double and tripple checked the directions. it really helped to avoid mistakes.good luck
