22re oil pump cover questions
Hey guys, I'm replacing my friends timing chain/gear set on his '91 4runner with a 22re. My question is, I was prying the seal out of the oil pump cover and had to tap on it a little since I don't have a seal puller and A metal bushing fell out of one of the bolt holes that hold the cover to the block. There are two holes it could possibly fit in either a hole at the top of the cover or at the bottom hole. Does anybody have any idea which hole this bushing fits in? Thanks in advance!

I just went out and looked at a couple I have laying in the garage and the only bushing either one of them have is on the oil pump part of the housing where there should be five bolt holes - It will be the left bolt hole The one that is not uniform to the rest ! -- Hope this helps?

The only cover I have for a 22RE has 2 bushings.
Looking at the timing cover this way, there is a bushing at the 9 oclock and one at the 5 oclock positions for the oil pump
