Yotatech adding "Trader Ratings" and subforum

Yotatech is proud to announce we will be adding a "trader rating", system similar to the feedback system on ebay, in the classifieds section.

Users will be able to leave feedback, positive and/or negative for all transactions made on yotatech. It will also give you an option to link the feedback to the sale. This program has been used on other forums with great success, and staff has decided it is time to release it here. This program will give members a good idea of who the good and bad sellers are, as well as a simple point and click system for leaving feedback.

This forum and program will be closely monitored so as to prevent abuse. Retalitory feedback will not be permitted, as is the practice on other forums.

Look in the coming days for your profiles to change slightly, as we integrate this option!

Thanks

:like:

quick question: if someone has an issue with the transaction, would the seller be able to try and rectify the situation before feedback is given? (similar to most ebay sellers). i bought a battery charger, it was broken, contacted the guy and he sent me a new one. positive feedback for him, but i want to make sure we have the same type of opportunity here.

thanks

It's going to be feedback, not mediation from my understanding and solely related to YT, not something that happened elsewhere.

As with any transaction give both parties a reasonable time frame to fix the situation.
Don't leave negative feedback because someone didn't reply to a pm you sent 2 hours ago....

^^ yep I understand that. It was more a general statement for everyone.
We have had some people that had unreasonable shipping expectations, IE: wondering why the Paypal payment cleared on Friday and they didn't have their part on Monday.

The vast majority of YT classified transactions happen with out a hitch, just ask that people on both sides of the transaction be reasonable with getting payments out and items shipped in a timely fashion and have good communication.

Edit: not sure how YT's version will end up but here is an example of a similar system on ttora:

That is exactly the same version we use on MR2OC, Robb. Should look similar if not the exact same

And we are now LIVE!

If you look to your left, under your user name and Avatar, you will see "Personal sales rating"

You can now rate sales with members in an Ebay-style rating system. Poke around a little bit, let us know what you think

Now that is really cool, I clicked on yours Josh, and then it gives you a link to click to leave the feedback and other options.

This should really help weed out future scammers.
