Will the metal plate off an 89 shift boot fit an 87?

Wondering if the metal plate off an 89 shift boot will fit a 1987? See pic below.

89 can be two different body styles. The 4Runner and truck vary differently between the two. Which are you talking about 4Runner or truck? I think it will interchange but I am just guessing.

My truck and the receiver are both pickups, I think. I guess I'll need to double check.

Nothing a drill and some fender washers wouldn't fix?

1st gen use a 6 bolt pattern along the side

I find it interesting you want the retaining ring and not the rubber, that seams backwards to the norm. Also that bracket in the photo is up side down, the stiffening ridges need to be at the top or it's not going to seal to the floor gasket?
