# The small round connector at the top of the image below is the notorious "T" connector (location of the T and E1 terminals) for setting timing and checking ECU codes (circled in light blue):
* On the 22RE, ignition timing is specified at 5°BTDC with the above jumper installed and the idle speed set to around 750 PRM.
# The larger round connector is some other test plug (circled in green) has the ECU O2 circuit test voltages, such as the Vf signal.

I have search my 1986 Toyota 4x4 for this Terminal T high and low and cannot find it anywhere on my truck. I don't know what else to do. I need to find this in order to set my timing on a freshly rebuilt 22re. Can someone please help me out? All I can see on the drivers side fender well is two green plugs that are already connected to something.

Still no luck. Could it be that this engine is older and I don't have this plug? Maybe I have to disconnect a vacuum line off of the distributer? I tried to upload pictures to show what I have for wiring but I cant upload them for some reason, just tells me they failed.

This truck doesn't have a ecu or ecm, at least I don't think it has, haven't seen one and I have stripped this thing down to the bare bones and restored it. Does that help you guys out any?

Yes, I have the distributer with two vacuum hoses, I never looked behind that trim but I will. If it has one then its there because the truck runs. This engine has a carburator as well, it's not fuel injection, does that help you? I try to upload pictures but it always says the upload fails. I tried one at a time and still fails, wish I could get you some pictures so you can see what I'm dealing with. This is the message I get : pics 023.JPG:

Sorry guy's, I'm still looking for this T terminal, would I still have it even though this engine isn't fuel injected? It is carburated so would I still need to find this T terminal or just disconnect the vacuum to the distributor and plug it, then set the timing?

Just disconnect the distributor hoses, plug it and set timing as printed on a label under the hood. Good luck
