What tires should I go with?
Some time in the next 4 or 5 months I'm going to need to put tires on my 92 pick up. The tires on it now are 31x10.5x15. I want to stick with that size. My question is. What would be the best tires for the money and where should I buy them. I want something that has a slightly aggressive tread. I do alot a highway driving so nothing over the top aggressive.

if your looking for mt's i'd recommend the nexen roadian mt, im running a set of 31's on my truck right now and i drive about 80 miles a day and so far they are wearing pretty good i have about 4-5000 on them now, they are very quiet for mt's and ride pretty good, and they bite pretty good off road, went mudding this afternoon and they worked great!

^ those look good. I'll have to shop around to see if I can find a cheap set. Thanks guys I like the BFG A/T's but they're a bit to much for me. Poor college kid here

I have been buying tires off the same tire dealer for 20 plus years from Real Truck tires 80,000 pounds and up and farm tractor tires if it was a tire it got bought there..
It all comes down to the type of driving you do if as you stated you do a lot of 70 mph plus interstate driving maybe at least 100 miles or so a day
Do you want a tire that will last a long time or do you want a softer tire that gives better traction.
Do you need a light Truck tire because from time to time you need to load your truck on the heavy side? Can you get away with a SUV tire ?
I have been running Merit tires the last 10 years since I do very little driving in my personal vehicles spread across 4 vehicles I run the Merit All Country Mud and Snow on all the 4X4 vehicles.
I like these better than the Goodyear and B.F. Goodrich not only because they are cheaper by a good amount

i had 31x10.5" procomp all terrains, a lot of people dont like them but i loved them. they lasted 65K miles and i wheeled the crap out of them until they were completely bald and they never let me down. they are on the small side of a 31, i think the overall size is 30.2" tall but i switched to the bfg AT and so far i like them, they suck in mud but thats it. if your ever going to do a little mud then id go for the procomps because they wouldn't cake as easily as the BFG's

I have had cooper discoverer a/ts on for about 2 years now...would not recommend them. Everyone seems to like the BFG A/Ts...so they get my vote. I plan on getting them within the next month.

got dunlop mud rovers recently for my 40mile there, 40 back commute to work.
quiet, comfortable, and well mannered on the street. havent taken it off the roads yet so no clue how theyd do there,

Another vote for Tread Wrights. I just (as in yesterday) took a set of 31/10.50/15 TW OTR's off my truck and stacked them in the garage so I can sell them. 40,000+ miles, never had a flat, aired them down several times and wheeled the crap out of them. Heck they've only got like 30% tread left and I wheeled them last weekend before my new ones got mounted. The still grip well.
For your driving needs I'd go with this one. Only 83.80$ each.

This is very true they get really slick in the rain for some reason. when i had my 33' AT's on my 89 I could lite them up from a dead stop with 4.10s behind my 22re with no real mods. They got slick in the rain. And wet braking was a little scary sometimes.
