just for an FYI, they usually move questions that can easily be covered by searching, or if theyve been asked over and over to the newbie section

hey there mckee339, any truck will go through the mud plain and simple, however its how deep you wanna go...i just got back from so called "muddin" in my 92 ifs reg cab, all ive done is crank the t-bars and put in an add-a-leaf; it has 32x11.50 BFG AT's on it and it went everywhere my best buddies chevy 1500 with a 4" pro-comp and 35x12.50, case and point dont get a tacoma and drop 1500 bucks to go muddin its pointless just do some tweaks here and there some oversized tires and she will go pretty much anywhere you point her...oh and keepin it closer to stock height is much more fun when you're blastin across fields, your gas milage wont suffer as much either...got about 600 bucks in mods for my truck tires included

I used-ta-could go muddin, but than mah truck beareengs seezed up lookn like coffeegrinds with medel flake in'em.

Simple math problem. Here it is.

92 f250 4x4 and a 351 - $600-1000

96+ tacoma with 2.4L 120k - $5000

92 F250 Lift Kit - $400

96+ tacoma lift kit - $3000

all in all, for the price of a 96+ taco, you can have a pretty HUGE f250, and power to push some paddle tires.

mkee, dont take what these guys are saying personaly. some think that if you take your truck in the mud it will explode(like rocks are easy on parts lol), others (like me) like mudd. ill agree that a toyota isnt the best choice for a mud bogger. for that you want a ish load of tire speed witch toyota's cant produce(with out paying out the yang). but as for muddy, slick, off camber, rooty, rocky, terrain. ill take a yota over a full size anyday.

are you just trying to throw some 35's on it and go wheel some muddy trails? or are you looking for a hardcore mudbogger?

I use my 82 in the mud and I have no complaints, I would rather have a toyota over a full size anyday.

one good idea would be to go to an auto auction with your dad...you stated that he is a dealer...and pick up an old gov't truck for next to nothin and use that for your mud truck. That would be your most cost effective route.

Fact is - if you had searched for +/- 5 minutes you would have gotten a lot of information.
But now what has happened is you have still failed to search and you are now arguing why your post was moved, which in itself is somewhat of a newbie behavior.

Given that this thread has little to no tech in it, it could honestly be moved to Off-Topic according to the Rules - which you should probably read.

My reasoning behind the move was not because your thread is out of the ordinary - it was moved because this question has been asked before and you have made it obvious you have not searched.
Asking for pictures of a Tacoma (mudding or not) when there is a button just a few inches above your post that says "Photo Gallery" is a bit asinine.

If you'd rather this be in Off-Topic just ask and I'll move it.
If you feel that we are being rude or brash you could go post a thread like this on Pirate and see what kind of reception they give...
We are merely giving you advice to make your stay here easier and more beneficial.

I've heard it on daytime TV before...we'll see if the mods agree.
You could always capitalize it like a name...

I think somewhere in between, because i want to rip through the trails but i also wanna kill it in pits, as the other guy said i dont no how well i would do with the tacoma in the mud, maybe im better off to just get a 1992 2500 cummins? thats the truck i did want.
