Strange noises from 2007 Tacoma

Ok now that my mind is at ease about my towing mistake I have a couple more concerns.

I notice a weird sound each time I start my truck and drive away. It only seems to happen when I first drive after starting, warm or cold, ac/heater on or off. Has happened in reverse. It only happens once and then it is gone. It is a low sounding rubbing type noise that seems to come from the engine compartment. It usually takes about 20-40 feet of travel before it occurs but it is pretty darn consistent.

I have also noticed a sound from the cab. It is a sound much like that from a tube TV, you know that quiet high pitch sound. It is not loud, very subtle. It sounds like power, but occurs when everything (lights, stereo, heater) is off, engine running of course.

Lastly the engine makes a minor clicking sound that I have isolated to a wire that plugs into the engine near the master cylinder. I can hear it in the cab.

With the stereo up, my truck runs like a dream. But when I turn it off and start being a paranoid consumer who just bought a new truck, this is what happens. LOL. Do you hear these sounds in your truck? Do you hear them in your head? Maybe I just need to throw it in four by and hit the trail! Any advice, ideas, sarcasm or sympathy would be great. Thanks!

Yes, I have a new Tacoma too, and I hear noises. I think we're just hyper-aware of our new baby.

My trade in was a 95 Yota pick up, so there's a lot of new high tech stuff I have to get used to, I guess.

I used to hear a ticking sound coming from somewhere in the dash. I don't hear it anymore. Don't know if it went away or I'm just used to it or what.

I have a manual trans, and when I shift, it seems like the engine wants to rev up, then down as I shift, even when my foot is coming off the throttle.

Also, when I slow down and the red light is 400 yards away, and I happen to bump the stick out of gear as I'm rolling, the RPMs run at about 1200. Why 1200? Idle is 800. But it runs at 1200 and it stays at 1200 as I'm rolling along in neutral, with the clutch out. When I finally come to a stop, it seems to sense I came to a stop, and the engine magically slows down to 800. I don't quite understand this.

Anybody?

Went to Toyota to have my fuse cover/change holder replaced and asked them about the noises.

The clicking sound is an emission component, it is operating normally.

The low pitched rubbing sound when I take off is my ABS pump doing what it is supposed to do.
