solid front axle

Hi, i know nothing about cars but after i get my 4runner i wanna start offroading...how much would it cost to get a solid front axle installed

You don't need a solid axle to start offroading. Wheel what you have before you make an investment like that. See if you are any good at it, have the temperament for it and are going to stick with it, THEN look into mods. An IFS rig will take you far, at least until your capabilities catch up with it's capabilities.

Then research it. It ain't cheap and it ain't for everyone.

what he said trust me get the experience with IFS to see if you like and if you do keep the ifs for awhile as you gain a lot of experience then think about an SAS if you want to do that hardcore of trails. My old IFS with a locker in the rear took me wherever i wanted to go within exception of the harder trails.

start with tires, light armor, and a limited slip in the rear. You'd be suprised, especially if you've never off-roaded before.
