Thats where it all starts... a "little lift"... next tires/wheels... then you'll want a bumper and next thing you know it you've straight axled it, locked F/R... the list goes on...
If youre wanting a slight light and nothing more other than looking nice, ProComp is usually a good choice for a lot of ppl. And sorry, Im in Oregon, we lift them ourselves

procomp doesn't make a lift for our year 4runner. o could look into a FRONT: OME (old man emu) 881's and REAR: OME 890'S and OME shocks all around. and for a place to buy this i really like toytec.com thats where i got all of my stuff. call them they are really great people and help a lot. and its not to bad to install yourself. and you'll save $600 too. lol

(Replaced those stupid airbags) and it was the only thing that didn't break on that truck, so i will proboly look into that thanks again!

If you get the OME 881/890 setup you'll need spacers up front as well. I am a big fan of the shorter setup - OME 881/906, which only gives about 1.75-2" of lift. The springs are very comfortable but really shine offroad. Check here for my lift pics. Also, there is a lot of talk about needing limiting straps for the front if you use OME shocks, as they droop too far and can ruin CV's. I don't know firsthand, but it's out there. These rigs are very capable out of the box, and I'm very confident taking mine off-road as it is now. as 4Runner202020 said, I also recommend toyteclifts.com - very easy to work with. Hey, I bought my 881's from 4Runner202020!
Good luck!

Yeah, I think they've pretty much settled. I've put a couple thousand miles on them (an uncommon amount of driving), and they started out pretty stiff compared to how they feel now. If I could, I'd go with OME shocks right now (with droop limiters), but the tokico's are fine for this year. I've only done mild off-roading so far, but camping will be great this year - can't wait to get to the Uintahs.
Thanks
