No, just get a really long screwdriver and make sure not to scratch the headlight surround to much, ( 85-95 4Runner/Pick-up)

I think the front end was tweeked because the grill covers up a couple of the screw heads. Thats why I think I might have to remove the grill. Thanks for your help, I could be wrong though.

Pretty sure there are a bunch of little plastic clips that you have to squeeze and will probably break.

It's a PITA but there is usually enough flex to getat the two phillips head screws on the top as for the bottom two you may find it easier to just loosen them off.
Unplug the light from the back before you start and then just push the light forwards. Drop the new one into the ring and fold it back in. tighten the bottom screws after you put back the two top ones. reconnect the plug and you're done. don't forget to check the aim as well.

I will in the future, funds are pretty tight right now and the cheap $12 replacements will have to do for right now.

Got the new headlights in, quite the difference even going with the cheapest lamps I could pickup locally. I don't think the headlights had ever been replaced before and with 170+K on the truck it was definately time. I didn't have to take the grill off just use 2 screw drivers and pry the grill a little while I took the screws in and out. Thanks for everyone's help.
