Mileage vs. Price

I'm in the market for a 01-04 Tacoma double cab. This will be my daily driver and hopefully last for a long time (I'm 19, already been through 4 vehicles trying to find one that I really like and it suits my needs). I've found a 02 model with 125k miles for $8700. I've found several with 80-90k miles for about $11000. The $8700 price tag appeals to me (paying out of my own pocket, not just some spoiled rich kid). How big of a concern is the mileage differences? I'd like the one for $8700, and I'd save a good bit of money I could put towards mods in the future. What do you guys think? Thanks for any input.

Well in most cases lower miles is much better... but when you get up to just about 100K people like to sell instead of doing the 100K maintenance... such as timeing belt, water pump, sensors those kinds of things. Those items can go anyware from $1000 to $2000 in maintenance.

All i'm saying is lower the miles the better, but pay attention to what maintenance has been done. The last thing you want to do is pay a premium price for low miles then have to put a bunch of money into it.

my 0.02$
