How much Horsepower does the 22re have?
i just got a new (to me) 1988 toyota 4runner, this one is the 22re model, i had a v6 and i was just wondering how much horsepower is in the stock 22re model for this truck

also depends on the condition of the motor. 116hp was from the factory.

is there a difference in hp in the 22r vs. 22re mine is the 22r and it feels like it prolly only has about 90 hp.

well to consider my engine just blew a head gasket... you should be ok.... with horse power as long as the truck gets you where you need to go...

I dont know how many hp mine makes, but im pretty sure i'd come up short in a drag race between my 22re 4runner and my wife pushing our 5hp self propelled lawnmower.

120 donkey power

Really 97hp. Got that spec from wikipedia.

an 88 imo will do better on fuel than a newer 91 with the 22re. This is my own real world experience from owning those 2 trucks

I think all stock, the 22R was pushin 96hp and the 22RE pushed bout 105.
