how do i take the stock grill off?

alright well i have a 99 4runner and im really confused as to how to get the grill off, the reason i wanting it off is because im putting in a billet grill along with some kc offroad lights. there is clips that hold it on, but i cant get em off, its just a pain in the ass. then there is something different that holds it on in the middle. cant tell if its a clip or a screw. would anyone have a diagram or pics on how to get this off? i know how to get it off, its just a pain and im wondering if there is a special tool to get those clamps off.

My 98 just has like 8 (I think) of those clips on the top and bottom. Open your hood, get a small enough flat head screwdriver to push down each one of the little buttons then slowly pull out each part, work your way through, etc. There is one on the bottom in the middle that is a little tricky to get to, but they all work the same way, no screws or anything. The one I just mentioned actually snapped when I was taking it off a 2nd time to paint it, I just put in 2 zip ties to where that one was, it's holding great.

Yeah if I remember correctly the right way is to put your hand through the grill or just come from the bottom to unsnap the ones down there.

No problem it should come right off once those are all unsnapped. If that fails, I guess go with Elton's plan, haha.
