Couple Lift questions

Hey, i have a couple lift questions. First off from my research it looks like a 3" sup lift and stock gears should be good for 33s, is that right?

Next for the rear is blocks, shackles, or add a leafs better? I think add a leafs will make the ride stiff, i thought i heard something bad about shackle lifts, and I’m not sure i like the idea of my axel sitting on blocks... so which is best?

And also what brand is best, Hi-jacker, pro-comp, day star, rough country, or another?

Thanks for any help.

If you are really in the rocks alot, I would invest in some well built skidplating anyway.

so i got coil spacers and put um on... and i noticed when the truck was jacked up the wheel is actually being held up by the brake line, does this mean i need to get longer lines? i'm guessing thats what i need i'm just supprised it doesnt tell you in the lift instruction that you need um... seems kinda important.

ok another question, it said to get longer shocks, so i got SkyJacker Nitro 8000's, not with truck on flat ground they are almost the whole way in, like maybe could compress anothe 3" max... do i need to get shorter shocks? also i only got about 1 1/2" of lift in the rear so should i just maybe do 1" shims? would that help? one more thing. the springs are now flat, not bowed down... maybe thats how they have been... didn't really look before but shouldn't they be bowed down? maybe i need new springs but i didn't think a 98 would sag that much... any ideas would be great. Thanks

Pretty sure you're going to want to extend all your brake lines or you might find yourself unable to stop soon!

ok 2 more questions. With the lift an the new rear shocks, the shocks are compresed to about 2-3" of the max, ie a load that made the truck squat 3" would compress the shocks all the way, should i get shorter shocks?

also the lift leaveled the truck, i kinda liked it with the rear a little higher, can i just add a 1 1/2" block? will that interfear with the parking brake cable? anyother ideas?
Thanks.

Depends on whether the bump stops will hit before or after the shocks bottom out. If the shocks will bottom first, then yes, a shorter shock would be advised.

Yes, that is an option:

And you can extend the e-brake levers if needed:

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how close your adjustment is to the end of travel before you put them on.

Likely no pinion angle correction needed unless it is currently off or you have swapped in a CV driveshaft in back (or are running a 2-piece/center bearing shaft):

Block options below:
- http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...mTaperedBlocks

Price would depend on what width you wanted, 2" or a wider spring-wide block.
