Bumper Preparation

So i just got my marlin crawler bumper..SUPER HAPPY...but anyways im wondering what kind of prep i should do before painting???

wash it, dry it, primer a couple coats, and paint it with whatever color you've selected... I'd use rustoleum paint as well. its a great quality paint.

sand blast if you have access to one, it will give a better bonding surface but it is not something that is a must. Just what i did

On my armor I sanded everything so it was at least a little scuffed. Then clean clean clean, use self etching primer (x2 the cost, worth it!) then I laid 3 coats of tremclad (rustoleum) gloss black.
