Align cam and crank

Hello,
My buddies timing belt broke on his v6 90's model Toyota truck. To get everything aligned should I set both cams so the arrows point up, aligning with the notches, then set the harmonic balancer pulley to point at the TDC mark? This will put me at TDC #1 on compression with the crankshaft and cam in sync?

Thanks,
Jason

ease up dude, its sunday! To answer your question, yes. no 1 piston at tdc, and cam pulleys pointing at the two marks an the back on the cover. Use the search option to get some pics and illistrations. Your welcome!

ya no kidding, search for two seconds to find some answers. the biggest problem i had was working with the tensioned camshaft pulleys. when you get #1 at TDC and get everything lined up and the belt on, turn the crank a few times to make sure all the marks stay lined up. if all marks stay lined up, re assemble and try firing her up
