88 Toyota Pickup Squeaks When Cranked
My 88 Toyota 4wd Pickup 22re is squealing when I crank it. It goes away when I get on the accelerator and doesn't come back until I kill it and crank it back up. Just changed the alternator and it sounded fine. Then I fixed a leak in the power steering pump and that is when it started. Pump is bled right. I loosened the alternator belt, but didn't need to. No change. It seems to be the pump, but it works fine and was fine until I fixed the leak. All because somebody suggested I check for a leak because my steering column was squeaky lol. You better like working on these trucks if you want to drive one.
Oh yea, anybody got any suggestions?

Removed the belt that runs the alternator and water pump and the squealing stopped. Put it back on and squealing came back. Gonna try a new belt. Alternator is 3 days old and is functional. I'm hoping that is what it is because I can take it back. If it ain't the belt is there any way to pinpoint which part it is between the pump and the alternator.
Thanks.
Thanks.
