85 22re efi

I purchased a 85 4x4 pu, not running 109,000 miles, 22re still have not got it to run. Now my questions: checked compression 120-140psi checked fuel pump 30-35psi, checked ignition spark at all four plugs. The engines fires occasionally on one maybe two cylinders but does not start. Bypassed the fuel relay, what trips the injectors, the main computer or the air sensor on the filter box;Tried a little gas in the intake no results. Moved distribtor advance then retard (no luck). What are chances of it jumping a toothe on the timing chain? O how i wish for a carb with no electronic crap.

You checked fuel pressure, at the rail i assume. Are the injectors functioning correctly? If there is an injector issue you should still have pressure at the rail.
