85 22re 4x4 extcab belt not pulling pulley? also is this leak bad?
I bought this truck not too long ago, and noticed recently theres quite a bit of oil depositing underneath the truck. Looks like it could be rear main? (i'm hoping it's not) Here's a video.
Also I noticed that one of the pulleys arent being pulled by the belt? Is it the Ac? is it important, or an easy fix by chance?
Any advice is apprecieated

The pulleys son the ac compressor and is an electric magnet clutch. The belt always spins and when you turn on the ac the clutch engages and the whole pulley spins, assuming the system is charged and functional. It isn't working right with it binding up and only spinning a little. The front of that pulley should either spin or not depending on if the ac is on or not. If it were mine I'd pull the belt off till I got it sorted out.
That oil slung all over the underside of your truck is either from over greasing the driveshaft or the transfer case output seal is leaking. If it's grease it's black thick and tacky if it's tranny oil it's brownish thin and smells like burnt monkey butt. The tranny seal is pretty easy to do. My axle angle is wrong because I have long shackles and no shims so my output shaft always leaks a little. I replaced the oil seal and now I just use rtv on the driveshaft where it bolts up to the flange.
Looks like you're in sac, I am too. You want to look at the fsm pm me

if the clutch on that a/c unit was slipping while the a/c was turned on, something is wrong... it should either grab and rotate, or rotate freely.
the second vid looks like grease from the u-joint is being thrown around, but it sure is messy... i had a bad rear seal on the trans, it only leaked when hot, but it blew tranny fluid all over, and fluid ran down underneath it, which doesn't appear to be happening here.
i'd check the tranny fluid level, just to be safe, and grease up those u-joints.

Well the AC wasn't on, so that's good. And lucky for me it still works, and id like to keep it that way. Ill check when it's on to see if it grabs and pulls it.
The oil seems thick. so it seems like it's not trans fluid. Although on a 30-40 min drive I could smell what seemed like tranny fluid. Ill check the levels, most likely drain and refill, and see if that helps much.
Thanks.

The video shown is with the ac off. Ill check again when its turned on and see how things look. I do know it works and blows cold, so Id just like to keep it that way.
As far as the oil/grease goes. Its thick, tacky. and seems to be mostly in that one area. However when i drive it hot and for about 30 mins or so on the highway, i noticed when i got home that it smells a bit like this monkey butt youre talking about. My plan is to drain the fluid, and give it some new see if it helps.
And yes im in Sacramento ill pm you. Thanks.

That leak under your truck probably isn't oil if it's thick. It's not a bad idea though to change the oil if you don't know where it's been, just expensive. That burnt smell after a good drive is probably grease from the driveshaft getting burned on the exhaust.
