33" tires with 3" lift
Folks I need some help. I bought a 1991 4Runner, 456 gears, 5 speed manual. The previous owner just put brand new 33/12.50 tires on it. He still had the stock 31/10.50 so I got those too. I wanted to keep the stock tires but they are so old they ride terribly and need replaced. Put the 33" on, it runs great, no running regardless of how tight I turn.... until it starts tweaking in the hills! Then the back tires start hitting the fenders. How hard is it to trim?
Trying to decide wether to sell these bigger tires and go back to stock size. With powder coated factory rims

And maybe you can help me.. is there any advantage of 33" over 31? I am not a hardcore off roader. Bout this to be a hunting vehicle and enjoy playing around as well.
I like the stock wheels Better. I don't see any reason to get rid of them for black steel wheels so I am going to powder coat the factory aluminum ones and put them back on.. just trying to decide if I can keep these 33" tires or if I need to sell them and put 31's on

Thanks Dropzone,
so my truck has the landcruiser coils in the back end and a 2.5 -3" lift in the front to match (not sure which, the previous owner did it.) However, he didnt put any spacers on, and I am seeing i am reading on the link above that it is part of the package. would this solve my rubbing problem? I dont understand how it would but perhaps I am missing something? What is the purpose of the spacers?
