1984 22R rebuild?

We'll I'm about to pull my 22R out and do a rebuild...I'm new to yota's cause I been chevy person but anyway..I just wanted to know some things to do to make my rebuild a sucess...I'm on a TIGHT budget so I've got to keep same pistons..I just plan to do a rering build new timing kit and such.Are there any ideas to keep cost down...HEY would anybody happen to have a mild cam (used) for a good price...just to get a little more ummpp! I do plan to remove the clutch fan and use eletric...Thanks

Check out engnbldr.com he has good parts and lets you mix and match parts to come up with your own rebuild kit

What ever you do, I had a 22r and was turning 44" tires with no problem, went to 5.7 gears, but I switched to a Webber 2 barrel carb, wow, with headers, it was great, pretty cheap up grade, think about it.
