1" bore MC upgrade question 85 4Runner
I have never messed with hard brake lines before so Im trying to be very cautious about this next step.
I found a new 1" bore MC but as you can see the fittings arent positioned the same.
Im wondering if I could just break loose the front line (blue) at both fittings and pivot it CW 90'??? I may have to tweek it slightly but Im just not sure if its a good idea. I already went to the junk yard and looked for a pre bent piece that would work but the yotas in the yards around here are picked CLEAN!
Any info you guys might have to offer a noobie like me on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

loosen both ends tilt and bend the tube as needed. That's what I did. Just be careful and not make any excessive sharp bends if just using your hands and not a tube bender. You can either break the line or kink it causing fluid flow issues.

Personally, I'd just go to O'Reilly and get a tube bend/flare tool...they're $20 tops if I remember correctly. New tube is cheap, a crack in an old tube you cranked on isn't.

if you think the pedal is a little too stiff like I did, upgrading that booster to a dual diaphragm will help with that as well. Did you remember to adjust that actuating rod? You might not have had to though, I didn't till I upgraded to the dual diaphragm.

I did not adjust the actuating rod.
I did feel like the pedal was a bit stiff but she stops like crazy now.
What exactly does to two diaphram booster do for the breaking power? The first thing I thought was, why do people upgrade MC and the booster when just the MC upgrade does soooo much.?
