Exclamation 1988 Toyota pickup- need shifter disassembly ?

can anyone help me find intructions for shifter dissasembly, i dont wanna go tearing my truck apart, i already have the metal plate that covers the shifters off. i can see my transmission, what do i do next?

search the forum for the 'FSM' or Factory Service Manual. You can download it. I purchased a hard copy, but at like $70 USD. That has step by step walk-through of disassembly and assembly of nearly every last part of our vehicles with pictures.

thanks magnusian right when you posted it i found it, i put my 3in body lift on this weekend and my kit was suppose to come with the shifter spacers, well they didnt so the instructions didnt come wit them so i had no clue how to take it apart. my offroad store here gave me the spacers free of charge i just have to take my shifters out and they are goin to weld them and grind and bend into right place, so thts pretty much what my intentions are.

naw i already have 32x11.5R15 on it, im getting mickey thompson baja claw i think 35X12.50R16 when im done installing everything. I have a 3in body lift with 2in blocks and torsion bars jacked up to level out my truck with 2in lift shocks all around.

1988 p/u 4x4 22re all stock accept the new dents i put in the side of it, o/e clutch from toyota, timing chain kit, water pump, and the newest a blown head gaskit and it needs new rings wait for a rebuild thread!

New Truck 88 sr5 22re with rancho's and a nice little towing package but the engine was knocking so i pulled the engine out and im gonna rebuild it
