Overly sesitive traction control??

I was trying to goof around in dirt parking area at a friends house but my traction control wouldn't let me have any fun. I have an '05 Taco TRD off road pkg. With his '07 Taco TRD sport, he had no trouble what so ever spinning some donuts. What gives here? Is my T/C overly sensitive, or do the different TRD packages have different T/C systems? I hate these electronic nannies.

If you've got VSC and TRAC, then it's going to intervene pretty severely when trying to do spins and donuts. The 2wd VSC and TRAC are kind of obnoxious in my opinion - overly sensitive and too much interference with "normal driving." My wife's car has VSA as well,, and it's not nearly as intrusive.

You could opt to pull the ABS fuse if you want to play around - just remember you also lose ABS when you disable the other skid controls in that fashion.

The 07's now have a button where you can disable VSC and TRAC without messing with the ABS functions, which is ideal.

Thanks! Wonder if I could wire in a switch like the '07's have?
