lighting or replacing instrument cluster on 2003 sr5 4runner?

I have a 2003 SR5 4runner and the instrument cluster seems to be hard to read in the daytime. I'm thinking of trying to either light the cluster or replace the gauges. Has anyone tried this or have any recommendations?
thanks,
-matt

What specifically is hard to read? In day light, I doubt any lighting will do much.. You could go ghetto and add some inexpensive LED lights to the cluster, or if you wait a little bit, I am sure someone will manufacture an aftermarket white gauge kit. eBay has been known to sell for 2002. I haven't seen anything for 03-07 yet. But looking and waiting.

The lettering on the gauges is hard to read, since the gauges are basically inside a little tube, and thus in the dark. It is easy to read when lit at night, but not otherwise. I agree that the led's would be going ghetto. I thought there would be some aftermarket gauges like from autometer that would fit, but if not, I suppose white faceplates might help.
