Lift my 4Runner

Hey everyone. Just bought my 2007 4Runner Sport and love it. I am looking to lift it 2-3 inches. I am looking for photos of anyone who has done this to theirs. I do not want to go huge on tires . Maybe 265/70/17 or 275/70/17. What is a differential drop and why do it? I have read some things re: this, but don't know much about it. Any help would be great.
