how does 3"toytec lift ride

i'm looking into adding the 3"inch toytec lift to my 07 double cab 4x4 taco, but i am afraid that it will mess up my nice stock ride and gas mileage. I think if i put 884 coils it'll be fine, but I am more curious about mpg. does anyone have any numbers before and after on that?

Obviously anything you do to a vehicle suspension-wise will affect your ride and mileage. It is my understanding that the TT lifts are designed to help maintain a stock ride (depending on which you get and what you want).

I am a ToyTec dealer and would be happy to answer any specific questions you have via email.

Just let me know.

If you place a spacer inside the coil pack, the ride will get firmer, it will also reduce articulation as there is less room for the coil to live and it will stack sooner.

Spacer lifts are a very inexpensive way to lift a vehicle but reduce the functionality.

You can read all about spacers and the various lift types on our lift page under FAQ's

Your lift alone shouldn't do much to affect mpg. It's when you start changing tires that mpg starts to suffer. Bigger, heavier AT and MT tires are what kill MPGs.

If you are considering spacers, your ride will suffer quite a bit. If you go the coil route, OME 884 or 885 coils are a bit stiffer than OEM, but I think the ride is pretty good, especially when coupled with OME struts. Same thing with the rear - if you go the AAL route, you will stiffen your rear suspension quite a bit. New leaf springs would give you good/better ride than stock. But with all these options, it's a sliding scale (for the most part) of money / ride quality.

Hits the nail on the head.
