Hi-Lift w/stock 4Runner

Can I use a Hi-Lift with a stock 4Runner, or do I need to have bumper or rock sliders to provide purchase for the jack?

You can use it on your trailer hitch, and thats about it, unless you wanna seriously dent something up.

Round tube sliders or bumpers. Trailer hitch only takes care of the rear and leaves the front grounded. If you wheel, a Hi-Lift is required equipment.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I should add sliders. I am also thinking about the ARB bumper, but might wait on that since it is expensive, and I am worried about the added weight up front with stock springs.

I don't think that would work with my plastic bumpers. Actually, I am pretty sure it would just tare the bumper off. It seems like rock sliders would be a good investment if they can definately make for good jack points. Is it possible to lift only one corner off the ground using a slider as the jack point, or will it always lift up the whole side?

depending on where youre jacking from, it can do either or. when i rotated my runner, i put the hi-lift in the middle of the tires, and the whole side came off. of course there was more flex in them than lifting off the fr/rr corner...but it held the weight of the truck just fine.

talk to taran over at bigcountrycustoms.com he'll hook you up with trail gear sliders..he did mine for just under or around 3 bills installed....

That thing works like a hot dayam. I used a highlift to jack up the nose of a unimog to reseat the spring, and I didn't need to take the slider adapter off.
